We will never know when the first humans figured out how to control the primal urges of evil, nor what their spiritual nature was. It is lost in time and everything that follows is a copy. Recorded history only goes back so far because ancient humans erased civilizations they destroyed. We can also see modern humans trying to erase and rewrite history because they can't have the truth about their deception just lingering about. This is why history is destroyed at regular intervals.
